I Can Do This

As a teacher, I found that sometimes teacher blame the students when they got problem. The teacher said, the problem is only because the student's mistakes. But then, in many cases, I realize that the teacher use the different way to interact with the students. When the students want to have fun, the teacher ask them just to sit and shut up. It's not a surprise if the students choose to do something to make them free.
This situation will make the class un comfort for both of them. And in my perception, this happen so many time in the class with traditional style teacher. I don't blame the teacher, because I think every teacher can teach, as well as every students can learn. The only thing that need to change is the way it does.
For the condition like this, there are some way that teacher can do:

1. Open your mind. Those students born and live in their own century. Not in ours. So, teacher must change their way to teach. There are so many fun way to interact with students.
2. Learn a new teaching technology and techniques. Nowadays, there are so many books that bring so many new ways to teach. You don't need to spend your teaching times with one direction speak. You can change this way into discussion methods, games or many kinds card play.
3. Be a good role models for them. Children are a very good duplicators. They'll see what you do and they'll duplicate it. So, if teacher want a different condition, they must give example. As an example, teacher wants the students throw the dust in the right place. Usual way is the teacher tell the request, but the teacher them self throw the dust not in the right place. It's not effective. The more effective way is teacher become discipline to throw the dust in the right place. So that the students will follow automatically.

It's only 3 ways. Be sure there are so many other way you can find that more applicable to your place. Just tell your self, "I can do this", then you'll can. To make a better class, a better generation.
